We are a VC and government backed health-tech start-up at the vanguard of predictive diagnostics to make medicine more proactive. Our first product is a novel infectiousness test for COVID-19. From a saliva sample, it identifies on-the-spot whether the user has an active infection in 15 minutes. The Vatic KnowNow SARS-CoV-2 Rapid Test is driven by the globally unique, proprietary detection mechanism underpinning the test which mimics the surface of the human cell, acting like a trapdoor for the virus. This test is the first infectiousness test developed utilising the lateral flow platform. We are very lucky that we already have a special group of people and we are looking for someone who also values the social impact of what they do.
We are looking to build a team of Lab Assistants to join our company. This could be a good opportunity for highly motivated individuals willing to learn and spend their first year in industry. This role will involve supporting both the R&D and manufacturing facilities at the Oxford Science Park. Projects will be in the COVID-19 space, inflammation/immunology and other infectious diseases, and will be focused on QC, GxP and manufacturing. You will be reporting to the CTO and the Principal Scientist and the main focus of the role will be to support late stages of tech transfer by carrying out benchtop lab work following GxP guidelines as well as to validate assays performing QC for product evaluations. The team of Lab assistants will be also responsible for lab maintenance. If you have more experience: a BSc in Analytical chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Process chemistry, Biochemistry, Industrial Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, or equivalent then you can apply for a lab technician position.
