Significantly, this test is less invasive, highly accurate and focuses on live cases of transmissible virus.

Job overview

We are now looking for Laboratory Manufacturing Technicians who will be key members of our manufacturing hub based in Oxford. You will be responsible for handling and preparing glassware and reagents and the production of buffers and conjugates that are used in the manufacture of Vatic products. You will be reporting to the Conjugate Chemistry Manufacturing Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare glassware and reagents used in the manufacturer of buffers and liquid conjugates.
  • Manage storage of the reagents, buffers and conjugates.
  • Packing and handling of finished materials.
  • Follow defined standard operating procedures (SOPs), initially under supervision, but quickly transitioning to independent working, in a biomedical
    service/manufacturing laboratory setting.
  • To be compliant with GxP systems and procedures covering this facility, including the completion of manufacturing batch records.
  • Utilise a range of methods, assays techniques in assay manufacturing.
  • Working and communicating effectively with team members.
  • Interact with the QA/RA team in order to meet regulatory requirements and ISO 13485 laboratory standard.

Experience

  • A-level with good marks in maths, chemistry and biology.
  • Good numeric and organisational skills and time keeping. Strong attention to detail and a high level of organisation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in particular, reporting information in a clear and systematic fashion. Good teamwork and ability to communicate clearly and follow instructions.
  • Pro-active attitude and strong interest in molecular diagnostics (QC and/or manufacturing).

Desirable, but not essential:

  • BSc in Analytical chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Process chemistry, Biochemistry, Industrial Biotechnology or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 or ISO 9001 and GxP.
